Bruce's Philosophy

Pharmaceutical and surgical approaches are often very appropriate for pain and discomfort. However, many conditions respond just as well or better to massage therapy. Bruce feels that, if effective, a non-invasive approach to pain and other conditions is always preferable. This philosophy is what constantly drives Bruce to seek out, study, and learn additional treatment systems and techniques to give his clients safe, effective alternatives.

If a condition is beyond the scope of Bruce's practice or expertise, he will offer to refer you to another healthcare colleague practicing acupuncture, physical therapy, Feldenkrais Method, or another massage therapy modality.

His Approach

People seek out massage therapy for many different reasons: relief from stress or pain, muscle stiffness, help with chronic conditions, or just because it feels great.

Bruce will carefully listen to what you want out of your massage therapy session then use one or more modalities (styles) of massage to help you reach your goals for the session. Throughout your appointment, Bruce's primary concern is your comfort. If any approach or technique makes you feel the least bit uncomfortable, Bruce will gladly make any adjustments necessary to make you feel at ease.

Listed below are the primary modalities employed by Bruce to bring about the most profound, positive effects of massage therapy for you:
